VRC CrewVRC began over 45 years ago as a one-man construction crew, Chris H. Gunderson. The Company has grown through the years as a closely run “Family Business”. In addition to the family, we also have other Valuable Employees that use their many talents to enhance the business.

Chris is a lifelong “Iron Ranger”. He learned the carpentry business from his Father. He’s a graduate of Eveleth Vocational Institute with a degree in Carpentry. Other than Construction, his other passions include hunting, deep sea fishing, travel, and his new passion, being called "Papa".

Beth (wife)
In charge of finishing, etc.

Beth is another “Iron Ranger”. She’s been married to Chris 40+ years and is still working with him :~) New job title "Grandma"!! She learned the construction finishing and tile installation business purely out of interest. Her other interests VRC Crewinclude tile installation, wood finishing, gardening, and cooking.

Christopher, age 41, is a graduate of Alexandria Technical College with a degree in Carpentry. He enjoys the challenges of the construction business. He and his wife Brissa have two daughters, Solveig and Elisse. His passions include construction, hunting, fishing, travel, and his family!

Jacob (son)
Learning the business
VRC CrewJacob, age 23, in the US Coast Guard. Recently Earned the rank of BM2. Currently residing in Alaska, living his dream!! His passions include working with Dad, hunting, trapping, fishing, fishing, and more fishing!!!

Wayne (Chris' Father)
Chris' parents, Wayne and Phyllis, started designing and building homes in the 1960's. Over the years they have built and remodeled many beautiful projects. They passed on the love of home construction to Chris, who has taken this knowledge and developed it into what Vermilion Range Construction is today. Wayne is retired, but enjoys visiting the job sites to help out.
